The Hotdog Stand
There was an old man
With a hotdog stand
On the corner of 15th and Post
He stood there all day
Slaving away
A job which no one could boast.
Sure, he worked more than he should
the pay wasn't good
And he didn't wear suits or ties.
But despite the low pay
He was there anyways
With a smile in his eyes.
Wealthy men past
Walking fast
Their jobs paid more, it's true.
But their steps were hurried
and faces worried
They didn't like what they had to do.
So this old man
stayed at his hotdog stand
On the corner of 15th and Post
He stood there all day
Working away
Doing what he loved to do most

Inspired by a man in my neighborhood who has owned a hotdog stand for as long as I can remember. He loves his little business, and his hotdogs are pretty darn delicious.
