Round and round, the wheel of life is spinning
as the hands turn swiftly on the watch.
For as long as we live, Time will be waiting.
No one outruns Time; Time is always winning.

Time ambushes people like a subtle knife,
and he waits in the shadows ready to stab
all those unsuspecting victims of his;
sometimes even taking a life.

Time takes away youth and causes death,
time runs out again and again,
but if Time were to close his eyes and say
‘It’s time for Time to say goodbye,’
then what an utter mess he’d leave behind.

Without a ‘when’, we would be hopeless,
with no guidelines and no finality,
with no young and old- what a calamity!
Just day and night, hope and fright.

The world would be chaos if Time took a rest
because Time is a concept that we revolve around
like the hands revolve around the clock-
continually, we never stop.
So Time is not cruel, just doing his best
to add meaning to life, to put us to the test.
