The Great Divide
I try the penny loafers at the store,
You know, those plain jane ones.
My eyes are attracted to the Jimmy Choos in the boutique across.
The Red sea separates us.
The magnetic force drags me over there, the sea automatically parts.
My eyes feast on that beauty, gorgeous glitter, shimmering under the light.
I try them on,
Strut across to the three metre mirror.
I stare at them.
The price tag pops out,
**faints**
I arranged a date at the new coffee shop,
Across the street a new french gourmet restaurant opens.
My Oh my, the smell of the french food diffuses,
All the air I breathe in is concentrated with it.
It seems that only that would satisfy my palate.
The Red sea separates us.
The magnetic force drags me over there, the sea automatically parts.
Yes it's true,
Money, Luxury, Extravagance.
What lies below the mountain that was once a molehill?
You decide.
Consider the valleys and poverties.
Life down here or up there.
