Who Will Tell Me?
How do we see ourselves in the future?
Successful, family, friends.
But don’t we care about happiness?
Shouldn’t we?
If we get what we desire in materialistic terms then isn’t that all that matters?
We seem to believe that the tangible things are all that matter.
So what happens to happiness?
What about being alive?
Living to be alive, not living to succeed
and succeed in whose eyes?
Never your own, always the publics
because who can judge best?
yourself or your peers?
We shape others yet seem to bypass ourselves.
So who can judge our lives?
We think we predict our own futures
but the truth in itself is that everything is measured oy our people.
So who will tell me my future is bright?
Who will assure me my future will be successful?
Who is there to tell me what I want to hear?
Everyone.
But who will tell me I will be happy?
Who is there to tell me I will be content.
Only me.
