Hometown

She was my home, the one that embraced me, welcomed me with open arms to the world I now know
O how long have i been away
That everything has changed over time
Has it been 2, 3, or 4 year's passing that there's no remembrance
That is a wish that remain in thin air
  Not 2 or 3 or 4 year's passing
  A 7 year's passing is not a day's end
It's a period of isolation, caved in from what used to be yours
What you once knew, who you once knew, and what future laid for you
The friends you made, the roads you knew, all seem to fade away like the grains of sand when the wind has struck
Times when you used to laugh Share tears and leap for joy
Are now just a memory left cause what once used to be yours, has been taken away
The child, the candy, the adult
  It's a cycle
  A never-ending story
That only I live to tell
Yes, still breathing, full of life and wonder will I return
Like prison walls, I'll never get out, the misery I once did not experience
New city, new strangers, a crowd of mass, stuck in between, why do I fit in
Day in day out, jailed in your house, confined in with nowhere to turn
  Crickets chirping
  Quiet surrounds you
  Run to your imagination
  It's the safest place
Since all is lost, all is gone
There's nothing left but old good memories
  That cherish your heart
  Down today

Have you ever left a place that you loved and ft at ease? I was inspired by my experience to write this poem because I miss my old home. It can be scary and you feel alone moving into a place you never known, away from family and friends.
