Among White Noise and Radio Silence
Pray tell your deepest thoughts
Solemn eyes amidst a vacant glare
Your absence is unsettling me
I don't know if you're all there.
Pray tell me your deepest thoughts
I really want to know
How come you never talk to me
And have but pensive heart to show.
Pray tell to me your deepest thoughts
I demand you tell them to me
You're quiet and hushed nature
Makes me insecure and uneasy.
Pray give me your listening ear
For you've pleaded for my voice
A break in silence, a crack of ice
It feels it's not a choice.
Pray give me back your attention
My mouth is open wide
But what's seen of you is absent
Behind solemn and vacant eyes.
