It’s hard to be positive
when all you see while looking up,
are clouds stained with blood
and tear filled skies.
It’s hard to smile
when all you have to laugh at
is the pain of others
and all of your own flaws.
It’s hard to have fun
when all you do at parties is
teeter the line with the devil,
and pray you don’t slip.
