Days get shorter
Nights get colder
But it’s still just you and me
Birds fly south
Snowflakes in my mouth
But it’s still just you and me
Flowers arise from earthen graves
Birds come out of their icy cage
But it’s still just you and me
Waves lap at the sand
My hair tangled in your hand
But it’s still just you and me
Trees blush their crimson hues
Leaves crackle beneath our shoes
But it’s still just you and me
Days get shorter
Nights get colder
It’s still just us
