I Come From
I come from a little town
bigger than here
Actually, it’s been around three years
But this place still seems
exotic, new
Slightly out of place
Not exactly home
I come from
a family of four
Again,
exotic
kind of crazy,
Maybe even insane
Always arguing, each of us
with more pride than we can contain
But in the end,
we’re always there
No exceptions
I come from
a place
I wish I could change
I live
in a place
created by thought
Always caught up
in a constant high
Or low
The tide my thoughts
The moon my goals.
