One for hope.
One for happiness.
One for world peace.
One for life.
With each breath slowly blown, the fire blows out.
The blazing fire of pure determination inching along to the source of the problem.
The conflagration spreads and grows until the issue is surrounded.
Once enclosed by the fire the issue is at rest,
and all is good.
One for the cure to cancer.
One for acceptance.
One for family.
One for love.
Each passing year the number of wishes grows, you get older.
More problems arise and you wish for more.
To once see every inch on earth glowing with peace.
From one penurious broken down side of beaten buildings to the rich, happy, discreet side of    tall metal skyscrapers that reach to the stars.
The glowing balls of gas that shine brightly in the sky, in our galaxy to the next dark obscure universe that you can’t even begin to imagine.
One for global end to racism.
One for anti-bullying.
One for no statute of limitations.
One for no more child abuse.
And sometimes
One for more green crinkly paper we call money.
Once a year we can make one more wish upon a candle.
A bright happy wish to make everything better.
To have a ball of swelling carefree happiness exploding into smiles on sad begging faces.
And
One for me.
