It Starts Again
School has just begun
Although, my mind is spun
Can’t concentrate
Can’t even write straight
Wondering where my summer went
While I sit and try to understand math content
This is the feeling, I feel every year
This feeling I fear
I always got through this feeling
Not this year, I feel like fleeing
First day and I have homework
This is crazy, the teacher is a jerk
It’s not eighth grade the teachers say
Eighth grade is where I should’ve stayed
I always feel this at the start of school
Because I know it will not be cool
