you matter
Going through a tough time in life,
Best friends with a knife.
So sad to be alone,
Helpless and stiff as stone.
Putting more pressure on razor,
More and more the blood came out of her.
But then she became suicidal,
And that went on for a while.
She knew it wasn't the end,
She would fight and fend.
It always gets worse before it gets better,
She kept telling herself with a stutter.
Working on her coping skills,
And taking her medication pills,
These helped her find her way,
Showed her she did have to stay.
She had so many people that cared,
She had to stay even if she was scared.
Saying life always gets rough,
But you have to stay really tough.
Everyone has a special thing about them,
Just grow the flower from the stem.
Be true to who you are,
Bring out your inner star.
You matter in life,
So please don't take out that knife.
