Favorite Quote:
“I didn't fall in love with you. I walked into love with you, with my eyes wide open, choosing to take every step along the way. I do believe in fate and destiny, but I also believe we are only fated to do the things that we'd choose anyway. And I'd choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I'd find you and I'd choose you”
― Kiersten White, The Chaos of Stars

I’m the moon and you’re the earth
because while you are my center,
what I revolve around,
I am nothing to you
you follow something far bigger,
far greater than I,
the sun

There are more freckles on your skin than stars in the sky
my love
I would kiss them all a hundreds times over if you asked
you don’t
I wonder if you dream about me, about us
you don’t
I stopped wondering if you love me too, if you ever did
you don’t
I wonder if I will ever forget this love
I won’t

There is a wasted heart in my body
a package delivered but not received
a book with missing pages
a record that doesn’t make a sound
I will love you with this wasted heart forever

I can read you like a book
some pages are covered in dust, never opened
others are torn and faded, you think that means you are overused but it just shows that you are loved
I would highlight my favorite part but then you would be covered in yellow
you are my favorite story
but you never even got past my table of contents

You
are the words never escaping my mouth
You
are the fever I almost want to catch
You
will forever be the best part of me
I
will never be a part of you

I’m tied to you like an anchor to a ship
But I am weak and could never keep you in place
I wonder if you will replace me
Or will I follow you forever?

I need the loud to think
the sound of the keys
of your breath
of my heart racing
I feel safer here than anywhere else
In your arms I wish I could stay

This was my first time writing poetry, it's not the best but it's something! I had someone in mind when I wrote this, maybe you'll have someone you think about when you read it.
