I am thankful for everything you both do for me.

These thank you’s are just little words.
that usually don’t mean a lot to us kids.
But to my Parents it means the world.
I love you.
My brothers, sisters, and I.
thought we were living the childhood of our lives.
Until...
I was 7.
We had a family meeting in.
OUR living room.
My mother and father then told us.
“Your mother and I are separating.”
Instant tears poured out of my and my sibling eyes.
We sobbed.
We wept.
But we also knew their decision wasn’t going to change.
I still love you.
I am the youngest of 5.

For a while my when all the children would stay at my dad’s house.
We would all go gather around one’s bed and pray.
That everything would work out.
Maybe in the end.
We would be happy again.
Maybe 1 big family again.
Even till this day.
My family’s not the same.
We celebrate Birthdays, Holidays, and Dinners separately.
My family will never be 1 again.
I’ve prayed.
I’ve wished.
I’ve dreamed.
So its time to move on and try and me happy.
Even though I’m 15 it’s still hard.
I still cry wishing my parents were happy with each other.
