My soul

My soul is no longer mine.
It belongs to the darkness that lies dormant.
In every person there is a fire that burns.
It can be seen in their eyes.
From there you can follow the flame to reach their soul.
It no longer burns in me.
Pain has led to despair.
Which I have felt for quite some time
Unknown to me why?
So I ask
To whomever may read this
How do you start a fire if the coals are damp with tears of despair?
