I am who I want to be
Not what people tell me
Because I am me
And I don't care what you see
You think I'm a fool?
I don't care I think I'm kinda cool
You don't like the way I dress?
You think I look like a mess?
You don't like my hair?
Guess what I don't care
I don't care if I'm not strong
Or if you think I'm wrong
Or if you don't like the way I walk
Or the way I talk
Or if you think I have big feet
Or you hate the food that I eat
And oh you think that I stink
Well guess what, I don't care what you think
A dumb insult will never push me down
Or even create a simple little frown
I don't care what you think
Your insults will never make me sink
I'm not afraid of a cheater
Or a stupid bully either
Tell me this poem is trash
And that you could write something better in a flash
It didn't take much for me to write
And I think it turned out alright
I don't care if you think I'm terrible at rhyming
That's just your opinion
Did you like how I didn't rhyme
in that last line
Never mind
I know you still won't be kind
I don't care if I'm not the same
That doesn't make me lame
Because I am me
And I am the best me I can be
