Enchanted
She sat perched upon the smooth hood of her car, her feet dangling over the dancing grass; her eyes admiring the night. The sky was cloudless, allowing the full moon as well as the array of stars to shine, uninterrupted. The night was singing.
The choir of leaves rustled; the wind was their conductor. The chirping crickets' and bull frogs' voices rang throughout the field, harmonizing with one another. The night was never still.
She smiled as she pushed a loose strand of hair behind her ear. However, It didn't stay long. The wind was more than eager to assist in its escape. She didn't mind. She knew she was part of the masterpiece. The night was enchanted
And so was she.

Three months ago, my family and I moved from a small, country town in Indiana to a compound in Saudi Arabia. I've come to realize how blessed I was to have once been able to sit outside on a cool, summer's night and just enjoy the simple things.
