Being Loved
Staying just to make sure I’m ok.
Saving me, even when I didn’t deserve it.
Giving me hope, even when there is none to give.
Helping others when you can’t even help yourself.
Putting your life in danger, just for me.
Telling me that anyone can make a difference.
Filling my head with daydreams.
Watching over me when I am sick.
Showing me how things do get better, even when they start out bad.
Appreciating everyone you meet for who they are.
Finding a bright light in the darkness.
Having the courage to put your life on the line, even when you may not come back.
Living life to the fullest, because you don’t know if you will be here tomorrow.
Not living in the past, but opening up to the future.
Showing courage and not giving in to fear.
Always agreeing to some things, even when you don’t agree with them.
Telling me that I am not alone in this world.
Showing me how to overcome my fear of the littlest things.
Telling me I am as beautiful as anyone else.
Helping me find my way when I am lost.
Telling me I’m unique just the way I am, and that I shouldn’t change a thing.
Believing in the impossible and telling me how anything is possible.
Filling my mind with memories that I will cherish forever.
Telling me to be thankful for what I have because, it’s enough.
Showing me how to give and help others, in ways I could never have done on my own.
Cheering me up when I am down because you can’t stand to see me sad.
Telling me how every moment and memory in life is valuable.
Always there to put a smile on my face no matter what.
Telling me you love me.
Now it’s my turn.
Now you are the one who needs help,
Now you are the one who needs to be taught.
Now you are the one who needs cheering up;
Now you are the one who needs saving.
And I will be there for you, as you were for me.
I will show you how to stand up for yourself.
I will tell you that you are not alone in this world,
I will show you how to overcome your fears.
I will show how to help others.
And I will tell you I love you.
