Daytona beach
Hot, dry sand makes up the shore of Daytona Beach. Boogie boards, surfboards, and jet skies dot the clear water. I walk on the tire marks made by ATV’s and golf carts that carried eager passengers and their belongings.
I feel the damp sand in between my toes, the salty water burning my eyes, and the cold cola Popsicle juice running down my hands causing them to be sticky.
My day at the beach consists of man noises including the mighty booming of the ocean waves, the high pitch screams of seagulls, and the sound of children laughing, creating memories that will last them a lifetime.
I sit on a chair sipping on lemonade, and a million questions cross my mind. Such as “ How many people come here every year”, “ Is there any sharks in the water”, “ What should I do if I start to drown”, and most importantly “ When will I be coming back?”
The marigold and scarlet colored sunset hovers above the water giving it a magnificent aqua blue color. The last of the sunshine shone on little fish by the shore, scattering into different directions.
I sit on the beach enjoying every moment. My heart pounds to the beating of the waves against the shore, and I say to myself
I will be back
I will be back
I will be back
