Homeade Love
Like her mother's mother before her, she cooks and bakes family
creations perfected through the years.
She uses her keen sense of touch and her keen seen of taste.
Every receipe is is a masterpiece, an "Oh my God this is so good" work
from the heart.
The pride radiates from her smile and she is self-satisfied knowing
she has filled your belly.
Dare and try to escape without a meal at nana's!
It always amazes me the catalog file of creations she stores in her memory,
receipe by receipe, ingredient by ingredient.
Nothing is documented; experience, memory and love produce these dishes.
I follow her around like a bee trying to record each treasure I taste,
pinch by pinch,
cup by cup,
so like her mother before her, I can share each meal,
each dessert created with love with my own family some day too.
Tradition and experience after all, is our best teacher.
Tried and true.
