First, I would have her be graceful.
She would perform turns,
And have perfect technique.
She would have confidence.
Before she goes on stage,
She knows she will do the best she can.
She would be flexible.
And perform a split leap,
With little effort.
She would be a team player.
And support everyone,
Even when one messes up.
The ideal dancer would be special.
She wouldn’t have to be perfect.
As long as she believes in herself.
She must be positive.
And never doubt herself,
Or her great strength and power.
The ideal dancer would stand out,
She would perform with attitude and sharpness,
And smile like she is having the time of her life.
She would make everyone cheer,
An amazing sight for audiences,
And a pleasure for studios.

I teach high school English: freshmen and seniors. This will be the first story they read to start the year. I have a feeling that your story line, plot and unique turn of events will inspire them to be readers and writers. You've touched on two powerful elements for teens: love and death. Well done and continue perfecting your craft!!
