the game is a choice but
not a choice you can make
the game chooses you
and for the lucky few
that the game chooses
their lives will be forever changed
the game is the success
that we all strive for
the game isn’t football
it isn’t baseball or soccer
the game doesn’t have to be a sport at all
it is what you make it
the game is what you work for
it is what you run the extra mile for
the game is what you study the extra hour for
the game is the dedication and hard work put in
the game will always change
but the player will be the same
we are all players and in the end
all it comes down to is how we play
