Peace with Honor
Release the heaven hounds
Restore a world to purity,
Where thieves and liars—
The places where light hasn’t touched—
are eliminated, are liberated.
Yellow weeds and eyes
Gone before the sun reigns again
Docile pets turned to snarling beasts,
Weathered by death,
Fighting for the greater good.
They combat the shadows by candlelight,
Bloody the mentally insane
into one form of sanity;
children unworthy of the image
Tossed into a waiting light
Finally, finally a glowing sphere
Finally darkness is dead
Finally peace is realized
And it warms brittle hands
So he may restore again.

I've been thinking about the purpose of heros, and what justifies their actions. The good guys are sometimes on equal footing with the bad. No matter the cause, both evil and pure are capable of destruction.
