The Game
The buzzer marks the end of a game now,
But the game never ends, it never quits.
The aches and pains makes the others think how,
the hardest thing is the battle of wits,
to try, to drive, to score, all in your head.
The final seconds determine the game,
To win or to lose, the choices we dread.
Only one comes out on top, hall of fame.
As the crowd cheers we take the center stage,
Our opponents grab their bags and go home.
The trophy, the coming of a new age,
Our success is like the empire of Rome.
One day it will happen, it will be great,
This I know well now, it will be our fate.
