Lost It All
She has her down all day.
Her mind was filled with the worst possibilities.
The look in his eyes made those thoughts true.
He gave her a glare, not a sign of love to be seen.
She knew at this point, it's over.
Her world came crashing down.
Once he was out of sight, she broke down.
She knew it was too good to be true.
To only make it worse, she had to go home.
Home is her worst nightmare.
Her mother is a drunk.
Her father is an abuser.
Now that he is gone, she has no choice.
She has to live back home.
All hours before and after school.
Thankfully, her parents weren't home.
She threw her bag across her room.
Her tears started falling faster and faster.
She heard her phone buzz.
He sent her a message.
I never loved you. It was a lie.
She flung her phone at the wall.
It turned to pieces, just like her heart.
She went to her bathroom, turning on her tub.
She cried as she drew red lines.
Slowly getting into the tub, she said
Goodbye.

This piece is very deep. I wrote this while listening to a song, Lost It All. That's how it also got its name. It is depressing but it has a very deep meaning. You never know a person until you step into their shoes. You shouldn't judge anyone especially if you don't know what they're going through.
