Human
I am human
More than the average human.
A kid with a dream
A heart filled with a burning passion,
Aspiring to be more than the average human.
But as the facts of life sink in,
I am exposed to the evil of the night
Left with a heart extinguished by tears of sorrow.
Leaving a trail of tears to come,
Weaving down the wavy road.
Reducing road to rock,
And rock to dust.
Dust that wanders in the wind in search of a home.
A task that is never fulfilled.
For a house is no home,
An echo says.
As I lay broken upon the floor.
Reminded of the shattered hearts
And broken dreams.
I cannot fix the splinters of my past,
They forever live inside my mind.
but there is one answer.. fire.
As I burn the splinters of my past,
down to the rubble left to crumble.
Back wandering in the wind as I once have.
The escape I longed for
finally upon me.
Leaving the shadows of my past,
That once lit the flame
now merely to echo the words
I am only human.
