A Pen in Time Saves Three
It is the first hour away from home
As we roam
In this vast space
Where we are on our human race
The race is grand
For the country first to land
Suddenly there is a bump in the ride
I thought someone had cried
Although it wasn’t anything major
After that I was destined to be a savior
All I am is a felt tip pen
That will save these men
I used to only be able to write
Just to make words on the flight
No more than a utensil
just a little better than a pencil
Finally we finished our journey through space
We won the race
However a new challenge arises
This was a crises
When the capsule got bumped
The lever to start the engine was thumped
It is time to finish our moon walk
And leave this lonely rock
I am the new lever
