I am a candle,
That once burnt,
With a roaring flame,
But now,
I have been extinguished.

My wax:
Cold, dry, and stiff,
Without sympathy,
Without care.

I no longer,
Do what a candle should.
I can not light the dark,
Or warm the weary.

I am,
A burnt out candle.
I have no use.
I have no purpose,
But to wait to be lit.

One day,
I hopelessly wish,
That I will, Burn like the sun,
And make the thickest of nights,
Shine like a summer day.

This poem is about my want to be great again. To be happy again. Its about being someone who loves to make people smile but is no longer able to bring a smile to my face.
