Determination
The glamorous sun is,
rising over 18s green.
Dew is stilly lying majesrically,
on the freshly mowed grass.
Off in the distance you can hear,
the Pinging sound as the club is striking,
the ball on the range.
The Plunk noise as the ball is,
rolling into the cup with gracefulness.
It's time to begin the day,
the announcer is calling out tee times.
My legs begin to feel like concrete,
and I start to get butterflies in my stomach.
It feels like I'm falling in quick sand,
and I can't pull myself out.
I hear 10:45 tee time, that's my tee time,
I begin to think I'm going to be sick.
Going into the day with a 3 stroke lead,
I have the advantage today,
but that lead can dissappear in an instance.
It's time for me to prove to my Team, School and State,
that I mean business and I can play golf for real.
Its time to play my game with integrity, courage, passion and heart,
I am an All American Golfer!
