Love is like a high
Love makes you feel good
But also hurts like hell,
when there's no love left

Love is a tree
Short, small, simple
But grows big, beautiful brilliant
It was huge and seemingly perfect
until a sudden storms tears it down

Love can make you turn in a complete direction
you are on track in life
Then love hits you like a truck
and you come to a fork in the road
and must decide which way to take

Love is like a ball
Its fun to play with and throw around
but sometimes you grow out of it
and move on to new and bigger things

Love puts a wedge in your life
Once close to your family
and not so much anymore
all you think about is that love
and chose them over family and friends

Love is like a chain wrapped around your neck
Once you're in it, it's hard to get back out
you may try to escape but that chain tightens
And you're stuck and unhappy
