Can't Write

I don’t know what to write
I don’t know what to say
it usually comes to me when I turn on the light
but not today
I don’t know if I should write about what I did
yesterday
or talk about the way I can’t write
today,
or maybe I should mention
that my brain froze in
the rudest way
because every time
I hear the word
“writing”
My hand will start to freeze
my blood cells become
ice cubes,
coldness travels through
my heart
to my brain
making my body
weak and pale
bringing numbness
to my hand,
the black pen
is falling off my fingers tip
My head starts to drop
my eye start to close
dark spots
are all I can see.
No more light
when I hear “write.”
