Crystallization

It came to me,
suddenly, as the grasses grew,
as the bursting greenery overpowered
as the sunshine oppressed those who dared
as my shadow got shorter,

the blooming field exploded
with its petals obstruding the traveler’s path,
with ominous hums of bees in distance
with no puddles in sight to mirror
its vain vanity nor venomous wishes

Wishes of untasted apple:
how sugary it is!
how mine it was!
how patient was the monk’s climb!
that the tempestuous nattura overruled

Hovering was a cloud not
a cotton candy but the veteran’s monument.
what awful tension!
to feel a cut underneath the skin
what cannot be seen cannot be healed.

Smell of burning sugars
Saccharine Scarlett of Hibiscus
Sunsets drenched with blood
blocking the view of crystal castle.
skin cracked, volcano erupted.

Tis a felony! I suppose,
yet my telomeres are getting shorter,
to rightfully declare the greener grass mine
screaming I AM SIGNIFICANT!
to the void space of black.
