Belligerent beating at her door.
I keep telling myself
She’s the only one that will understand.
She opens the squeaky wooden barrier with glazed eyes.
I rock back and forth on my tired legs
And begin to crumble like an old building.
As she catches me, I scream
“WALLS HAVE FALLEN!”
The lights had switched in her eyes.
She ushers me in the room and sits me down.
I’m trembling with rage, fatigue, fear.
It’s all becoming too much.
Should I just end it?
End the stress,
The pressure constantly put on me.
NO!
I tell myself it WILL pass, it’s just college.
She watches me with cautious eyes.
I slowly drift off to sleep on the dorm-style mattress pad.
Finally all the pain and burden has been lifted
And the walls have been repaired.

This was inspired by my friend and I. We spent a whole day talking about code words and "walls have fallen" stuck with us. It basically goes with the fact that your world is falling apart right under your feet.
