Forgotten
Every minute, someone will die,
Someone you will never meet, and never know,
That person might have saved lives,
That person might have taken lives,
That person could have been your doppelganger,
That person could have been your nemesis,
But you won’t know, not now or ever,
because they are gone,
But time moves forwards.
No matter what you do,
no matter what you say,
no matter what…
you cannot stop time.
You are going to die,
and nothing can change that.
You will experience two deaths,
The death of your body, once your health has failed,
and the death of your spirit, once you have been forgotten,
Of all the billions of people in the world,
almost none of them have ever met you,
The few people that do know you, will also pass away,
And you will be forgotten,
One of those who die, every minute,
But time moves forward,
Until everyone is forgotten.
