Hey mom. So I think this is the last time I'll see your face. The last time I'll ever hear your voice. This might be the last 'I love you' ill ever hear.

But mom I didn't do what I was told. I went out with my friends. And, yes mom we had a few beers. But, mom believe when I say that we thought we could drive home. And honestly what we thought and what we know should have never been confused.

We knew we were too intoxicated to drive home. That we were too young to be drinking. But mom what if it was different. What if I didn't drink the beers? What if I didn't get in the car?

What if mom I had just listened the first time? The first time you told me that drinking isn't cool. The first time you said to stay home. The first time that you ever said no. But I didn't listen the first time.

And now mom I cant see you anymore. But, its okay I know where I'm going. I know that eventually you'll find your way to me. But for now mom tell everyone the things you told me. And remind them to listen the first time.
