Driving

Society makes the rules
you follow them or you become an outcast and that one annoying friend.
Driving is a must to society, and the world these days,
but I hate it with a passion

You have to abide by these rules
you can’t go any slower or any faster than what that sign says
you are here
you are there
take this test and maybe you’ll be good enough to pass.

Rules are a little incompetent
No driving lessons needed
you just answer stuff from a sheet of paper,
they expect you to be good and know everything you need,
and if you don’t know your parents are expected to teach you.

Follow these rules
They tell you,
you can’t do this or can’t do that,
buckle up it’ll keep you safe,
yet the time you get in a crash, your neck might just snap.

Rules will keep you safe
I hate all this stuff
I almost crashed already.
I don’t need to panic I’ll do fine they all say
just practice and practice
you have drivers ed anyways,
so you’re already in too deep to stop now.

Stick to the rules
I have to face this fear,
They’re right and I know it
but if it really happens I guess I’ll have proved them right,
I really shouldn’t be on the road
but I don’t really have much of an option anymore now do I?

I've never really liked driving and when I do drive I'm really tense and kind of freaked out
