Poetry Scramble
The ball is shimmering like a jewel,
it’s a globe,
its own world,
to me until we get to the field.
When it’s on the field,
I burst,
running at the speed of light,
with the ball directly at my feet,
no one can take the ball away.
I take a shot,
crushing the ball,
melting the keeper’s hands.
I look at everyone.
and everyone’s face is in awe,
about how hard,
and how fast,
the ball flew.
