Words Spoken
"Goodbye" he said
My eyes begin to sting
"There's someone else" he announced
I'm completely numb, can't feel a single thing
"You aren't the one" he tells me
That was the first wound in such a fragile heart
"She's better than you" he spoke
I feel my insides begin to rip apart
"We've lost our forever" he states
I've become a puddle on the floor
"I never really loved you" he revealed
I'm sure he's truly cold to the core
But
"Hello" is how it all starts
Still suspicious of any type of love
"I think you're beautiful" he tells me
His hand fits in mine like a glove
"You're so caring and strong" he proclaims
He pieces back together the broken, shattered pieces of me
"I could never leave you" he expresses
I believe everything he says we will be
"You're so much braver than I" he whispers
I see now, I can go on
"I love you" he whispers
Now, I know why everything before had to go so horribly wrong
