I Wait Here for You
The trees
Filling up with leaves
They wait so diligently
While flowers grow beautifully
The green, the blue
All others too
I wait here, much like the trees
Only I wait for you
Hot is the wind
Plants dry up dead
I simply cringe
At what lies ahead
The hot searing air
Unjust and unfair
I want to get away
But you'll only stay
That cruel summer breeze
Gives way to changing leaves
The colors appear so suddenly
In light that is so heavenly
But nothing lasts forever
This I know all too well
I am really not so clever
Becuase it is for you I fell
The trees
Devoid of leaves
They wait so patiently
While crows cry menacingly
The grey, white and blue
Everything else dark too
I wait here, my mind at ease
I wait only for you
