Society is one horrifying thing..
It creates this image, this visualization
of the this divine and perfect creature
The perfect body
The perfect face.
It displays these things on social media
For the whole wide world to see
And just like that
In one push of a button
It begins
The mental slavery...
It tricks you into believing that this is the way you should look
The way you should act
The way you should dress
And it makes you think that if you don't follow these guidelines,
You're not beautiful…
Lowering millions of people’s self-esteem in the blink of an eye
It gets retweeted
Reblogged
Revined
And shared on all of these media publications
Multiplied on such a large scale that it cannot be compressed
Displayed everywhere you look
And thats when it traps you
And you have to find your way out
You have to break free of the mental shackles
And understand that
NO
This is not the way you have to be
You're not a follower
Youre not a conformist,
You’re a leader
These guidelines don't dictate who you are
Or determine who you should be
You do and only you.
So when you finally come to this realization that day will be the day,you break free.

The author's comments:

I started to realize that almost everyone except a few individuals were following these societal guidelines and thats not the way it should be.

Everyone should learn to love themselves, flaws and all, and not be afraid to be different.

i started noticing that almost all of the guys at my school were wearing the same clothes and i questioned myself like, "What ever happenned to beind unique and setting your own trends?"

But in this generation, its a rarity.
