Behind a Name
A pen name
Covering my face-
From being linked to
All the words that I have ever wrote.
A fake identity
Potecting my thoughts,
Masking my feelings,
Concealing my pleasures,
From those I know around me.
A fictitious persona
Advertising my inner desires
As its own,
Posting my sheilded affections
For all to view.
A masking costume
Laid out for me
By the others
Who think they know
Who I am.
A conflicted soul
That sits behind the monitor
Writing things such as these
Behind a name
That is not
Her own.
