what is it now?
What is it now?
Your love surrounds me like waves that crash into the sand
As we wake from our deaths
Laying with you feels like coffee pouring on a rainy day
The clouds hides the sun as the day seems dreadful and cliché
I love you and that is enough.
Every moment felt new
Nothing mattered when I was with you
Our love sizzled like the bacon that fried that Saturday night
We woke late and decided to start the day at 7
The fire crackled as the bacon did.
In this moment as the rain fell and the coffee poured
I knew I could never love you the way I did before
And that it would never be enough.
Your love surrounds me like the blood in my veins
It isn’t enough
I knew as we woke
