A bird in a cage
That's what she is
A bright and beautiful bird
Caged so no one has heard
This bright bird's song
That it has sung for so long
The song of its wishes and dreams
To see the sun's brilliant beams
Caged in this dark room
A bright bird cannot shine
A bird caged in a dark room
With no space for her song to bloom
Unless he brings the key
To set this bright bird fee
