Heart's Key
The one was still,
The other was bright.
The paths on the hill
were covered in light.
Though adjacent and mellow,
So different they were;
The hill was not shallow
And had a verdure
A choice needed made.
I stepped to the right.
Though really afraid,
I hoped with all might.
These hills had a gate
And my heart had the key.
I thought about fate
And let my heart speak to me.
Remember my children,
When faced with a choice;
Think of your feelings,
Your heart has a voice.

The inspiration for this poem actually came from the book The Alchemist. It shows that you will have choices, and they might be hard, but if you listen, your heart will tell you what you should do.
