Beaten and broken
Every wound constantly reopened
Scars don't have a chance to form
There are no sleeves long enough to hide the damage
But everyone sees you
Beaten and broken
They see the bruises, the tears
They can see the fading thread that keeps
But they don't do a thing
They turn their cheeks and raise their chins
But it doesn't make a difference because
They see the bruises, the tears
They don't understand
They overestimate your will to go on
But underestimate your will to quit
They don't know anything
They don't understand
