I Miss Those Days
I miss the days when I was younger
When God with his celestial grace
Would roar the sky with thunder
With every strike he got
The sky would light up bright
Revealing the heavens above
I miss he days when everyone was equal
When prejudice was only a myth
And popularity was unheard of
Our only worry for the day
Was what playground we would choose
And not what outfit we wore
I miss the days when school was fun
When we skipped around,
Excited for the day
Math was just two plus two
History wasnt filled with despair
And Magic School Bus was fine literature
Now my days of childhood are leaving
My tiny little innocence
Just an immperfect grain of sand
On the beaches of maturity
That will never was away
Into the darkend sea of stress
Math now includes letters and symbols
History is filled with a sudden meloncholy
School is now filled with all our insecurities
Constantly floating around our heads
Prejudice has found our fate
Popularity rings out above
I miss the days when this wasnt my reality
Turn back time
Wash the grains of sand
With a childish pester
Bring back the time when I was young
The time when I was happy
The time when everything was a wonderfilled journey
