lack luster
maybe we're so empty
because we give pieces of ourselves
to those who we love,
and then they leave.
and all of a sudden,
you've got nothing left.
and you sit there wondering
when someone is going to fill you up again
with passion in their lips
and sparks in their hands.
but now the glass is half empty,
the stars are only gas in the sky,
flowers will soon wilt,
and you feel as though the moon
that once shined for you
has a little less luster,
is a little bit duller,
and is no longer as beautiful as it was before.
