so are you permanently lonely
and are you so sick
of having men in suits and ties
shoving your head inside of washing machines
because their job is to brainwash

well I am so tired
of looking to horoscope readings
to try and find some stability in my future
and I am so tired
of being told my capricorn soul
is bound to love a scorpio
because I am earth and he is water
and we are supposed to be compatible

and my inspiration has been sucked out
by the public school curriculum
where I learn that my thoughts
do not matter unless
they are written in
double spaced twelve font
times new roman MLA format
and my opinions are not important
unless they are agreeing with
the opinions written in textbooks
produced by the same men in suits and ties

textbooks are supposed to be facts
but they are crawling with lies
textbooks shouldn’t be crawling
up my walls, should they?

but sure let’s just write
eight hundred pages about the history
of this great nation
but lets leave out the parts
that make us look bad

and yes, lets have children recite a pledge
to this country everyday where we can force them
but no they do not learn the identity of our past
because there are millions of bodies laying all over the ground
but they are buried in history where no one can see them
but our hands are soaked in blood
the governments caught red handed

but they’ll just throw them in the washing machines
because I’m sure the brainwashing process
works just as effectively with hands as it does minds
