Flies buzz quickly around noses and ears just to get kicked off when they land. Their annoying habits cause hoofs stomping in the dry dirt. Leaving perfect horseshoe prints on the brown canvas that covers the ground.  Hoofs that have stomped thousands of miles itching to get out of the metal gate that has captured them.  A light in their eyes sparks as you walk closer, only to realize you don’t have food and dull again. So sweet and calm they are now but power boils within them. The second the saddle is on, the gate is opened, the steer in roped…. A new horse will appear. One that pins their ears and that hoofs stomp for a new reason, too run and too win. The horses that love the adrenaline rush, and the competition as much as the rider above them.
