Near the clear blue water,

rushing dangerously fast.

It carries what falls in with it,

don't worry about being last.

Rushing dangerously fast,

pulling you in and under.

Dont' worry about being last;

it rushes dangerously fast.

Pulling you in and under,

watch your red blood blend with blue.

It rushes dangerously fast,

too fast for you.

Watch your red blood blend with blue,

the water rushes it away,

too fast for you,

but it will come back.

The water rushes it away,

the pain is now gone,

but it will come back;

I better find some first aid.

The pain is now gone.

I look back at the river, knowing that

I better find some first aid.

I'll be careful next time.

I look back at the river, knowing that

it carries what falls in with it.

I'll be careful next time

near the clear blue water.

I wrote those about an experience I had when I fell into a river in Dominica and got really hurt.

*squeals* A pantoum?! Right here on Teen Ink?! I love it. You did a great job with a very difficult form, and I think overall it has a wonderful feel to it. No critique, I think this is perfect.
